ControlPoint Property

Syntax

set the {primary | secondary} controlPoint
[of leg <number>] of <path> to <point> Applies to Bezier legs of a path

Description

Each Bezier leg of a path has two control points. In Oracle Media Talk, the modifiers primary and secondary are used to distinguish between the two control points. For Bezier motion, the primary and secondary points are used to generate the curve. The control points are used to indicate the tangent vectors at the beginning and end of the leg. Setting the controlPoint property without a modifier causes both control points to be set to the same value, generating a quadratic Bezier curve. If the points are different, the leg follows a cubic Bezier curve. By default, controlPoints are set to the midpoint of the path, which generates a simple straight line.
